BLIK launch expands payment options for Polish users of Google Play Store
Google has partnered with BLIK, the innovative payment system in Poland, to streamline digital transactions on Google Play Store for Polish people. As of today, users can make purchases on the platform using a BLIK code via a banking app of their choice.

BLIK has been operational since 2015, offering a range of functionalities that ensure benefits for both individual users and business partners. Over this time, it has permanently revolutionized the payment market and changed the payment habits of Poles, especially in the online shopping category. BLIK is gaining popularity, as evidenced by both consistently growing transactional results and the number of active users, which reached 16.3 million in the first quarter of 2024.
In the first three months of 2024, users completed 518 million transactions, of which 264,9 million were in online stores. This represents a 28 percent increase of e-commerce payments compared to the same period in 2023. The value of online transactions in this period amounted to PLN 73.9 billion [EUR 17.2 billion]. Currently, every second BLIK transaction is carried out online.
In its current version, payment with BLIK on Google Play will only be used for one-time purchases and cannot be used for subscriptions.
Adopting BLIK as a payment method is very simple. When making a purchase and selecting "BLIK" as a payment method, you will need to open your bank app, generate a BLIK code, which is valid for 2 minutes. Just enter BLIK code on Play Store. After payment is complete, your purchased items will be promptly processed and made available to you.
